Halloween is coming up. In case you have been living under a rock, Halloween is on a Sunday this year. The day after Halloween? Monday. No late start. 7:50 a.m. Bright and early, school starts.
Even though Halloween falls on a Sunday, most students will still celebrate the holiday. Some STA traditions are the pumpkin carving contest by advisory the week before Halloween and the annual community service opportunity hosted by Community Service Club.
Pumpkin decorating contest: Monday 25 – Friday 29
Food for Thought: 4-7 Halloween
For those of you who still plan on celebrating (trick-or-treating?) here are the top Halloween costumes for 2010 (according to Party City):
1. Lady Gaga
(Good luck walking in that costume!)
2. Vampires
3. 80s kickback
4. Jersey Shore characters
Can you say ‘bring on the bump-its’?
So whether you’ll be trick-or-treating or at a costume party, this is the most uexpected seasonal fun fact: According to helium.com, 40 percent of adults admit to STEALING candy from their children’s Halloween bag.
That’s right, stealing. Chances are, in all your years of trick-or-treating, either mom or dad’s been sneaking into your candy bag. So, this year, grab a Gaga wig and keep an eye on those peanut butter cups!
