It’s our last night at Su Casa.
I can’t believe it’s been four nights already. We’ve got a day left, but our service is done (tomorrow we’re shadowing another school).
I know I said it before, but there’s been some intriguing changes in this group. We had an amazing reflection tonight about perception, our peers, and society as a whole. I’m pumped for us to be able to share our experiences once we’re back home.
Today was a bit different as we only did a service agency in the morning (and what a crazy morning it was!) and then did some quintessential tourist-y activities later.
Also, Ed Debevics. Brought out all our sass and snark. Definitely a fun time.
the major events of the day
- cooking breakfast and dying Easter eggs with some of the residents from H.O.M.E. (Housing Opportunities and Maintenance for the Elderly)
- visiting the Art Institute of Chicago
- taking photos in front of the Bean and walking the Magnificent Mile
- eating at Ed Debevics
Until tomorrow, friends.

This is like the Traveling Princesses blog, but different. I like it. Great job, Anna 🙂
