Welcome to My Fair City!
To start this blog off, I’m going to pay tribute to the great Kansas City.
Every time I watch the “Today Show” or other national news programs, I wait in anticipation for the meteorologist to come on in front of the green screen map of  the nation. If Kansas City has taught me only one thing, it trained me from a young age to constantly monitor the weather.
Aside from the actual weather report, I watched the national news to see what cities made the cut. Â I would gage the size and importance of a city based on whether the national meteorologists would include it on the weather map.
If Kansas City was included on the map, I’d sigh in contentment.
If it wasn’t, I’d scowl at the meteorologist and the empty space stretching from St. Louis to Denver.
Kansas City deserves more respect.
