As part of a journalism project, students created podcasts reviewing the various types of pop culture today, from romantic comedies to country music albums. Here are their book reviews.
‘Girl, Stolen‘Â by April Henry follows 16 year-old Cheyenne Wilder, who is accidentally kidnapped by Griffin, a young man in the process of stealing her car. Cheyenne is daughter Nike’s president, and Griffin’s dad, Roy, decides to hold her for ransom; however, Cheyenne is sick with Phenomia, and blind.
Journalism student Jamie Seibert reviewed ‘Girl, Stolen’Â by April Henry and found that that the book could have been great, but failed to meet its full potential. The plot dragged at parts and should-be intense moments were bogged down with too much thought and not enough describing of action.
