Before riding a hoverboard, check your surroundings to make sure everything is out of the way.

Step 1: Turn on the hoverboard. There is a button in the back.

Step 2: Hold onto a sturdy object and step on the hoverboard.

Step 3: Once you have your complete balance, let go of the study object and lean forward.

Step 4: Lean backwards to stop or slow yourself down.

Step 5: To turn, lean forward and shift your balance slightly to one side.

Step 6: To step off the hoverboard, find another sturdy object and step off.

Step 7: Don’t forget to turn off the hoverboard using the same button you used to turn it on.

For first time hoverboard users, make sure you have a spotter there to catch you in case you lose your balance.
