College Counseling at STA started the school year for seniors with a mandatory college meeting Aug. 13 in the M&A auditorium for the annual College Application Kick Off night. At this meeting, college counselors Debi Hudson and Liz Majors spoke to seniors and parents about the process involved with applying to colleges.

Following this meeting, the college counseling department announced the Catholic College Day at STA Sept. 14 during Activity 1 and 2 in Verheyen. This event is open to all sophomores, juniors and seniors. Different Catholic college representatives will be visiting STA Sept. 14 to talk with students about the college their representing. Over 38 colleges will be present.

As well as Catholic College Day at STA, the college counseling department also arranges for many other colleges to visit during activities throughout the school year.

“I think the one-on-one college visits at STA really help me narrow down my decisions when it comes to choosing a college,” senior Gabby Keller said. “I think everyone should at least go to one.”
