“I’ve grown up around sports my whole life so it’s become more of a lifestyle for me. Whether I am playing, watching, or writing about sports, I always get a feeling of comfort. I’ve played sports before I even started going to school and it’s just something that allows me to get my mind off everything else and just focus on that moment in time. Also, whether it’s playing or watching my favorite teams, there is no greater feeling than winning or achieving your goals. Sports have taught me that miracles really can happen and all goals can be achieved if you work hard and believe in yourself.”- Cassie Florido who plays basketball, and volleyball. Florido also has played softball, soccer and has ran track.
“I have grown up watching sports with my dad and playing as many sports as I could when I was little because all of my friends played all of these different sports. I’ve just grown up loving sports and never wanted to quit.”- Machella Dunlea who plays 6 sports a year.
“I love sports because of the team aspect, and meeting people that have a common interest as me. The sports are competitive and fun to be a part of.”- Erin Burroughs who swims and plays soccer.
