STA hosted the annual blood drive through Community Blood Center Jan. 25.  A total of 71 students and faculty donated blood in the Goppert Center.

“I have never donated blood before,” Senior Camille Begnaud said. “I have seen the positive effects that these donations have through social media and how they can save lives.”

There were 37 first time donors. Overall, 43 units of blood were collected.

“I decided to give blood because a lot of members of my family have and they say its a good thing to do,” Senior Liv Ruch said while waiting to go back to class after her donation. “This was my first experience and it was meaningful.”
