The freshman retreat was held on campus Tuesday after school. The freshman class was divided into small groups for breakout sessions led by seniors, who guided discussions and bonding activities. Senior Isabelle Fleming has helped run the freshman retreat for two years and enjoys welcoming the new classes.

“It’s kind of awe-inspiring,” Fleming said, “I get to see who’s going to carry on the next generation of STA.”

For the remainder of the evening, students participated in activities like relay races around Donnelly and “Just Dance” in the Commons. Freshman Sabrina Shugart felt at ease with the girls she grew to know over the evening.

“The people in my group make me feel comfortable,” Shugart said. “I’m just kind of myself.”
