The Junior Classical League Induction ceremony took place April 4 during activity. During the ceremony, Latin students were inducted or re-inducted into JCL.

During the ceremony, students received a certificate, a JCL Medallion and a JCL membership card. While they were being inducted into the club a phrase was displayed on the board, “Fit Scientia tua Protestas” translated as, “May your knowledge be your power.”

For junior Addie Coppinger, this is her third year being a member of the league.

“I have been a member since freshman year,” Coppinger said.

This honor is not available for all Latin students though.

You sign up for it and you have to meet a certain grade in Latin class to receive honors society recognition,” Coppinger said.
