STARbot Olympics were held in Windmoor Nov. 8 during Activities 1 and 2. This fundraiser was held by the robotics team to raise money for equipment and support funding for competitions. To participate, each person had to pay $2.

There were several student teams and two teacher teams. Each team could have up to five people. They competed in five different robotics-related competitions including: a blind obstacle course, trivia, name that part, speed Lego building and Sphero races.

Teams could come up with team themes. An AP Chemistry team had the theme of Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Several teachers offered extra credit for students that participated. The robotics team worked hard to build different structures for the competitions.

The first place winner received three dress down days, the second received two dress down days and the third received one dress down day. The group with the best theme won a pizza party.

Seniors Natalie Kistler, Ana Ryan and Allison Porras and juniors Jane Kincaid and Brynn Slattery dress up as characters from the show Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
