The varsity volleyball team competed in the Missouri Volleyball State Championship for the third consecutive year at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri Oct. 27 and Oct. 28. The team defeated St. Dominic for third place. The stars won the first set 25-17. St. Dominic defeated them in the second set 25-23. Varsity volleyball then won the third set 25-17. The Stars end their season with a 26-5 record.

“It was pretty disappointing that we weren’t in the finals because I think that we were good enough to be in the finals this year,” junior and varsity volleyball player Macy Bauers said. “We were just frustrated and angry because we deserved to be there.”
