Sales for both suicide prevention and St. Jude’s Hospital were held in the commons Sept. 12. Baked goods were sold for Suicide Prevention Month, and the Team Up For St. Jude students sold shirts with the word “cure” written across the front.

Jordan Klumb, junior and head of the Team Up For St. Jude students, was excited to advertise their cause and get the word out to other students.

“We are selling shirts this week to raise money for pediatric cancer as September is the newly designated pediatric cancer awareness month,” said Klumb. “All of the money goes directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for cancer research.”

Events for both suicide prevention and cancer research will be held throughout the rest of the month.
