Zahner Lounge remodeled over summer

The Zahner Lounge’s remodel leaves students doing a double take. Zahner Lounge was remodeled over the summer after not being touched for 20 years.

Over the summer, the Zahner Lounge on Donnelly’s first floor is almost unrecognizable since its massive remodel. The remodel of Zahner has been discussed for a while, the main reason being several offices were unnecessarily scattered. STA president Nan Bone moved her office into a room that was built into Zahner, making room for marketing and development offices to be next to each other. Along with the scattered offices, the Zahner Lounge hadn’t been touched in years, and it was time for an update. Several items from Zahner were kept in the remodel, including 11 reupholstered chairs and a refinished table. There are also references to STA all over the room, like the cushions on the chairs surrounding the table which feature the STA seal, tartan plaid accent pillows, framed photos from throughout the schools 150 years and gold STA china displayed on the shelves entering Bone’s office.
