Junior Claire Witt and freshman Anne Chapman placed sixth at the debate at Center High School yesterday afternoon. A total of six girls from STA attended and debated the Electoral College and whether or not NCAA athletes should be paid.
“It went really well, even though we had such a small group,” Witt said. “Because of that, we all got to debate among ourselves over things we thought might have been the topics for last night, and I learned some things about people I didn’t know before.”
The next debate will take place at STA Feb. 15.
