STA’s varsity golf team went to districts and finished in fourth place Monday. The team came in fourth behind Blue Springs High School, Lee’s Summit West High School and Notre Dame de Sion High School. All five girls on the team qualified for sectionals, which will be held next week. Usually only the top two teams from each district qualify for sectionals, but since all five girls finished in the top 15, they will all move on.

Sophomore Corynn McDonald, finished with the best score of the five Stars and in ninth place overall. All of McDonald’s teammates, Grace Gaume, Brie Arello, Emma Anielak and Hannah Grant closely followed her score and will be following her to sectionals next week.
