College scholarship deadlines begin to approach

University of Arkansas and University of Kansas’ scholarship application are due Nov. 1, while Saint Louis University scholarship and University of Missouri admission and scholarship applications are due Dec. 1.

• Nov. 1 – University of Arkansas, University of Kansas scholarship applications due
• Dec. 1 – Saint Louis University scholarship applications, University of Missouri admission and scholarship applications due

Colleges visit the College Resource Center (CRC)

• Sept. 15 – Pomona College (period 1), Pepperdine University (Activity 1), Grinnell College (Activity 2)
• Sept. 16 – Elon University (period 1), Emory University (period 2), Bard College (period 3), Rhodes College (Activity 1), Miami University Ohio (Activity 1), Vanderbilt University (Activity 2), St. Olaf College (period 7)

In order to attend a visit during a class period, students must get a pass prior to the visit and teacher approval.

College events take place on- and off-campus

As well as colleges visiting the CRC rooms, Catholic College Day at STA occurred Sept. 14 during both activity periods in Verheyen. Representatives from 37 schools were present at the event. The following day, Sept. 15, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Rockhurst High School is hosting College Night in their gym. Over 130 colleges and universities will be attending this event.
