Mr. Hain’s psychology and AP Psychology classes are going on a field trip to the Glore Psychiatric Museum Sept. 18. Students will be visiting “one of the 50 most unusual museums in the country,” according to the Glore Museum website, because of its many uncommon exhibits.

The museum has a selection of old surgical tools, treatment equipment and artwork from hospital patients who suffered with mental illness.

The students are also going to be eating lunch with a psychology class from Bishop LeBlond High School to discuss and compare notes. After their lunch, they will visit the State of Missouri Department of Mental Health to see the newer ways the country deals with mental health.
