St. Teresa’s varsity golf team competed in a match at Blue Hills Country Club against Blue Springs South and Notre Dame de Sion Sept. 1. Senior Gabi Dorrell shot a 48, senior Mary Catherine Egan shot a 52, sophomore Ana Ryan shot a 55, sophomore Emma Anielak shot a 61 and junior Claire Franey shot a 64.

According to Franey, the team is already on the downhill of their season.

“We’re reaching crunch time before districts, so we really have to get serious and step up our game as a team,” Franey said. “[We have to] play at a higher level so we can put our best foot forward as we near the postseason. This week we played well but still have room for improvement.”
