The freshman class this year is one of the biggest classes at STA. There are 163 girls coming from 33 different schools and 43 different zip codes. However, the Number One Club only has 11 members. The Number One Club is for freshman who are the only student from their grade school attending STA.

“The average size for the Number One Club is about 10-15 students, so this year it is on the smaller side,” academic counselor and freshman class moderator Kelly McKee said.

The freshmen had their Frosh Fest yard day moved into the gym because of rain. It turned out being more fun than in previous years, according to McKee.

“This year everyone was up and dancing and having a good time because there was no room to sit on the floor and just talk to their friends,” McKee said.

The freshmen also had their first mixer Aug. 29. It was hosted at Sion. Rockhurst, STA and Sion freshman were invited.

They had their first class meeting on Friday Sept. 4th. A motivational speaker came to talk to them.
