Beginning the 2015-16 school year, STA instigated new rules involving the student parking lot. During previous years, school administration did not strictly enforce the rules regarding students parking their cars. However, this year students have consequences for parking in the wrong lot.

“In an effort to improve parking, [STA is] revising our parking procedures,” Jennifer Petree said.

Seniors are to park in the senior lot which is directly south of the Windmoor Chapel, or the junior senior lot which is directly south of the Donnelly Building. Juniors park in the junior senior lot and sophomores must park on the street.

Students are assigned color-coded parking hang tags by grade. Seniors have blue tags, juniors have red-orange tags, and sophomores have green tags.

“Owner’s of vehicles parked on or around campus, without a tag, will receive an SBR,” Petree said.

Cars had to be registered for parking on campus by Aug. 25 and the school will begin to check for parking tags on Sept. 1.
