This class also excels sports with many athletes and six who have signed to compete in college. After tackling prom, the senior fashion show, and their last class mass, the reality of the end of STA for these women has begun to set. The advisories of STA are an essential and legendary part of the community. They are our home base and our family during our time at STA. They are made up on one advisor (teacher), and a group of 4-5 girls from each grade. The advisory together competes in different competitions throughout the year as well as host advisory parties to bond as a family. It is a place to grow to love during your time at STA. The Fast advisory is a growing advisory made up of 4 sophomores and 5 freshmen and is led by Mr. Fast. Each year new people are added to the advisory and make it bigger.

An STA highlight is the annual senior prom, which was recently held on April 19 at the Little Theatre in downtown Kansas City. The event is produced by a prom committee comprised of seniors who work together to create a theme, decorations, and event logistics. This year’s theme was Tiffany and Co., expressed in the decor with fake diamonds, Tiffany & Co. gift boxes and bags, and signature blue Tiffany table cards. Pre-prom activities began at 6 p.m. with a formal introduction of each couple and a procession in the M&A auditorium. Prom activities at the Little Theatre included a dinner, dancing to a DJ, and a photo booth.
