Sophomore photojournalism student Amy O’Leary chose to photograph Our Lady’s Montessori in Kansas City, Kansas. The Montessori’s playground was recently redone, allowing students to play outside much more. Kids can be found playing with lincoln logs, a crowd favorite, and on the playground. Nuns look over the children.

STA would be nothing without it’s wonderful staff of 53 members. The faculty is what holds the school together and creates an enjoyable and educational environment. The teachers prepare the students for college-level education, the counselors provide advice for stressed students, and the cleaning staff keeps the school clean and running smoothly.The staff meets with each other to brainstorm new ways that benefit the attending students. STA students graduate from the school with the advantage of the care and time the staff provided for them all four years.

One hundred and thirty-eight students of various ages, races and religions in the Kansas City area looking to learn the Chinese language and culture attend the Chinese School of Greater Kansas City. It is a non-profit organization with 14 different classes, ranging from beginner and adult conversation to Kindergarten through 10th grade classes. Extracurriculars such as dance and art are also offered, and the school is held once a week on Sundays at Notre Dame de Sion High School.

Sophomore photojournalism student Madi Sage chose to photograph Shamrock Golf Course’s driving range. Golfers often became frustrated after hitting shots not up to their expectations. Some golfers cried, while others threw their gloves on the ground.
