Photojournalism student Katherine Becker chose to photograph the Brookside community and Loose Park. People gathered in the park to play with snakes, tight ropes and their dogs. Local Brooksiders also worked in their yards and played with their kids.

The Country Club Plaza is an upscale shopping and eating district located in Kansas City, Missouri.  Running for 15 blocks, this area hosts retail establishments, entertainment, and cultural events.  The Plaza accommodates over 180 retailers and restaurants, and is the main turf for students attending St. Teresa’s.  Due to the near location and the high-end businesses that the Plaza has to offer, students are commonly seen strolling the streets of endless chocolatiers, clothing boutiques, stylish salons and fine jewelry.  From studying at the library, catching a late-night movie with friends, grabbing a bite to eat or simply just shopping, the Plaza is a place where students are able to do a variety of things.  Considered to be one of the main attractions of Kansas City and is recognized around the country for the popularity and reputation, the Country Club Plaza continuously prospers as new stores enter and leave the establishment.

Loose Park is a park near STA in Kansas City,Missouri that many students as well as locals attend. It was founded by Jacob L. Loose Park and the address is 5200 Pennsylvania Ave. Loose Park is a total of 75 acres and is one of the main attractions in Kansas City, Missouri. It is well known  for being a site in the Battle of Westport  and has many informational plaques. Many locals attend the park for a jog or walk, or to enjoy the nature that surrounds Loose Park.
