Junior photojournalism student Julia Hammond chose to photograph her and her friend’s disabled siblings. Kailey Hammond suffers from autism and intellectually disabilities, but still enjoys taking walks and ice cream. Junior Abby Dearth’s brother, Austin Dearth, suffers from Lowe Syndrome but still enjoys playing basketball and hanging out with Abby.

Junior photojournalism student Kelly Fletcher chose to photograph junior Shannon McAuliffe and the family she nannies. McAuliffe plays basketball with the kids, monitors their homework, and watches over them as they draw and play together.

Junior photojournalism student Anna Kropf chose to photograph Holy Cross School’s after school program. The program provides relief for working or busy parents whose schedules prevent them from picking up their kids directly after school. Kids in the after school program can be found drawing and playing on the playground. The program also provided an Easter Egg Hunt for kids in the program.
