A local man was caught posing as a police officer after a woman on a date with him thought his behavior was suspicious and refused to return home with him after the date. The man told her that he would “arrest her if she didn’t go home with him.” I have been hearing a lot lately about people posing as police officers. Last night on the radio I was listening to a radio show (of course I’ve forgotten which one) but they were talking about ways to figure out whether or not a police officer is fake or real. Some of these were so obvious, I literally laughed out loud. One of their examples was, “If a man comes upto you in a police uniform and says ‘I’m an undercover cop, come with me’ don’t go with them. Undercover police officers should be wearing street clothes.” Well thank you sir, for pointing out the obvious. But seriously, what kind of sick society do we live in where we have to question whether a police officer is there to protect us or to hurt us?ÂÂ
