9:45 am Principal for student affairs Mary Anne Hoecker makes an announcement telling students to go back to advisories before the ceremony.
9:49 am Special guests, including Sisters of Saint Joseph, the Capital Campaign Board, Gould Evans Associates members, and Bishop Robert Finn.
10:02 am Students begin filing into the gym for the ceremony.
10:06 am The prayer service begins with campus ministry director Joe LaScala speaking about what is going to happen during the ceremony.
10:15 am  “Foster father St. Joseph.” Bishop Finn begins the service with a prayer.
10:17 am “Would you build me a house to dwell in?” Sister Patricia Clune reads the first reading from the second book of Samuel.
10:20 am “Our Help Comes from the Lord.” Select choir members sing the psalm in between readings.
10:22 am “I have made you father of many nations.” Senior Samantha Scheuler reads the second reading from Romans.
10:24 am ” Joseph, Son of David, do not be afraid…” Father Robert Stewart reads the gospel from Matthew.
10:25 am “St. Joseph was the first human being to see the face of the Incarnate Son of God.” Bishop Finn gives the homily.
10:33 am Bishop Finn blesses the holy water that will bless the sight.
10:38 am  “The Church’s One Foundation.” The procession out of the gym and to the ground breaking site begins.
10:42 am  Bishop Finn gives the prayer of blessing and blesses the ground, sprinkling holy water on the ground.
10:45 am “Say cheese.” The first group, including President Nan Bone and principals Mary Anne Hoecker and Barbara McCormick, begin digging. Two other groups dig and have their photos taken.
10:50 am “History in the making.” President Nan Bone ends the ceremony and the special guests proceed to Goppert for a reception.
