President Nan Bone announced the nominees for Academy Woman during announcements Monday.
The 2011 nominees are Catherine Arensberg, Jade Hernandez, Molly Kenney and Samantha Scheuler. Usually three students a
re chosen, but a third place tie added a fourth nominee.
The Academy Woman award is based on moral character, leadership, sense of responsibility, loyalty to STA, school spirit, service to others, sportsmanship, cooperation, helpfulness and ability to
command respect. The faculty and senior class nominated students who exemplify the characteristics of an Academy Woman. The nominees wrote essays displayed in first floor of the Donnelly Building.
The class of 2011’s Academy Woman will be announced at the school wide awards ceremony April 28.
