National Honors Society inducts new members

The National Honors Society induction ceremony took place Feb. 5 in the Auditorium. Applicants were chosen based on their grade point average, service hours completed towards the community and towards STA, and the demonstration of four qualities (leadership, service, character, and scholarship) in their personal essays. This year was the first to see over 100 students join the organization.
As well as inducting new members, the society also selected new officers as follows:
Lauren Wittek – Leadership Chair
Mary Massman – Scholarship Chair
Olivia DeSantis – Service Chair
Ava Lee – Character Chair
Faith Andrews-O’Neal – Finance/Publications Chair
This was followed by a group photo and a light lunch provided by the STAR Parents Association.
