FBLA competes at Districts
Members of FBLA took part in the district competition in hopes of qualifying for state.
February 6, 2018
21 students attended and competed in the annual Future Business Leaders of America districts competition at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Liberty, MO. Feb. 2. Students were able to participate in up to three offered events, which ranged from previously taken tests to individual or group presentations.
At the end of the competition, members attended the awards ceremony to see how they placed and if they qualified for the state competition in April. Sophomore Anne Chapman, who was a member of the parliamentary procedures team, was overjoyed to find out her team had won and will be able to attend the state competition.
“Our parliamentary procedures event is something I am so happy to be part of,” Chapman said. “We spend countless activities and spent time beyond school hours to do our best, and I think we were all super excited with our win.”
