An all-school prayer service was held Oct. 10 to celebrate St. Teresa of Avila’s feast day. The Sisters of St. Joseph attended the service to welcome teachers Alicia Stewart, Laura Reynolds, Casey O’Flaherty and Madeline Lueke into the Sisters of St. Joseph Association. The teachers gave individual speeches about love and service, promising their dedication to the CSJ. Reynolds described her faith in her speech.

“I hope to live out this commitment by giving time to God and listening to what He is telling me and also living my life with the spirit of gentleness, peace and joy,” Reynolds said.

To add to the celebration, junior Paige Sopyla made an appearance as “St. Teresa” to talk about St. Teresa’s life and teachings. CSJ Club also led a song they learned at CSJ camp. To attend the camp, students must be nominated by at least two teachers. Junior Olivia Rose enjoyed her time at the camp with her fellow sisters.

“It was really fun,” Rose said. “I recommend it to anyone.”
