The varsity tennis team left school early to travel to Park Hill South to compete in the District Finals Sept. 27. The Stars had earned the No. 2 seed, meaning they got to host the first round of the team competitions at the Plaza Tennis Center Sept. 26. The team competed against Park Hill South and Park Hill at the District Finals.

The Stars played well, but lost 5-4 against the other schools. Junior and varsity player Maggie Fielder competed in the match.

“The loss today was tough because it was so close at 4-5,” Fielder said. “This team is always super good, and each year we get closer and closer, making me think that next year we can definitely win. I’m so proud of my team and how we always keep such positive attitudes no matter the outcome.”
