STA students spent time praying, meditating and bonding with advisories during a Thanksgiving prayer service in the Goppert Center Nov. 22. The service was planned by juniors Mary Kate Armstrong, Karen Crouch, Claire Molloy, Sal Scott and seniors Charlie Cornell and Bailey Mitchell with help from Director of Ministry and Service Meredith Snyder. Students sat on the gym floor by advisory. Each advisory brought blankets to sit on and had students acting as small group leaders. The service started with an introductory prayer which lead to a meditation. Each advisory then played a “thankful” game where students anonymously wrote on a piece of paper what they were thankful for and then had to guess the person’s identity behind the piece of paper. The service ended with a closing prayer.
