Hillary Clinton won the Democratic Nevada caucus Saturday, and Donald Trump won over South Carolina’s voters in the state’s Republican primary.
Former Secretary of State Clinton’s Nevada win came after her loss to Bernie Sanders back in the New Hampshire primary. She is the current favorite in South Carolina for the upcoming Democratic primary and hopes to gain another win there this Saturday.
Businessman Trump earned 33 percent of the South Carolina vote, while candidates Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz ended in a near tie for second place, both at 22 percent. John Kasich took the third place spot. After finishing fourth in South Carolina, nominee Jeb Bush decided to suspend his campaign for the presidency.
The GOP caucus in Nevada will be held Tuesday evening, and the Democratic primary in South Carolina will take place Saturday.
