In a time when corruption, selfishness, and a lack of commitment are not uncommon, one NCAA basketball coach recently showed the opposite qualities.
MU basketball coach Mike Anderson turned down a job offer from Oregon of over $3 million a year.
This offer would almost double Anderson’s paycheck from MU. Anderson’s new contract with the Tigers entails a seven-year deal for $1.55 million a year, including a $550,000 buyout clause if a school wanted to hire him a way.
Anderson agreed to hear what Oregon had to say, but decided without question that it would be best for him, his family, and the Mizzou community if he stayed with the Tigers.
The Missouri Tigers should be very proud to have a coach with such great integrity. Keep up the good work Mike!
