The annual senior powderpuff game against Notre Dame de Sion was held May 20 at Sion. For the past six years, the Stars have been defeated by the Storm. The class of 2013 broke that streak with an exciting victory.
With the help of Mark Hough and Ty Abney, Elaine Schmidt coordinated the game. Seniors met multiple times throughout April and May for practices. Rockhurst senior football player Henry Mascaux agreed to help coach the girls in preparation for the big game.
The final score was 32-28, STA. The Stars put many of their toughest players in throughout the game; they were in it to win it.
