For dance team the process of choosing their captains consists of teammates voting on who they think should be captains. Head coach Savannah Vose ends up making the final decision based on the votes, according to senior dance captain Sara Meurer.
“I think our coach picks a captain off of who they think will do the best job leading the team, making sure we stay on task, and making sure practice starts on time.” Meurer said. “She also takes into consideration who has the best leadership skills because the captain has to be able to warm up everybody and choreograph our Rockhurst dance.”
