The STA swim and dive teams competed in the Swim and Dive Independent League Championships hosted at the Henley Aquatics Center in Independence Feb 8-9. The Stars finished in 2nd place, defending their title for three consecutive years. The Stars qualified at least one swimmer and relay team in every event final. One relay and three individuals qualified for the STAte meet Feb 15-16 in St. Louis.
Publications teacher Eric Thomas' digital photography class has recently finished an assignment that asks the students to take portraits of friends and family. Earlier this the year these students took pictures of still life at STA.

Students auditioned for the now "Rockapella" choir on Jan. 11. This new group plans to sing a capella arrangements of contemporary music and will perform at all the major concerts throughout the year. Audititions were held by STA music teacher Mr. Greg Monsma.
