The annual STA awards ceremony was held April 25 in the Goppert Center, recognizing various student accomplishments and presenting certificates and awards to art students, athletes, language students and the honorable Academy Woman award. The Academy Woman award is presented each year to a senior best exemplifying “moral character, leadership, loyalty, responsibility, and service,” as states the STA website.
The 2017 Academy Woman recipient was senior Isabelle Gatapia and her fellow nominees were Molly Burns and Emma Kate Callahan.
