The 2015 STA soccer team attended the WIN for KC luncheon Thursday. The luncheon honors all State champions from the previous year.
The team was honored for their State Championship won June 6, 2015. The luncheon included a walk of champions for all State-winning teams, awards for strong female athletes and a guest speaker Jackie Joyner-Kersee, an Olympic track athlete.
WIN for KC is an organization that works to empower women and girls through sports and fitness.
