Gallery: Women’s March in Kansas City

A sister march to the Women’s March on Washington was held in Kansas City Jan. 21. An estimated 10,000 protesters gathered in Washington Square Park to “send a bold message to our new government on their first day in office, and to the world that women’s rights are human rights.” Protesters also marched for the rights of immigrants, those of diverse religious faiths, members of the LGBTQIA community, people of color, people with disabilities and survivors of sexual assault.
