Royals starting pitcher dies in auto accident

Starting Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura was killed in a car crash Jan. 22 on the highway in early morning. He was 25 years old and was drafted into the Royals in 2013. He had a 38-31 pitching record. While in his Jeep, Ventura reportedly was not wearing a seatbelt when he crashed. Royals fans gathered at Kauffman Stadium Sunday night to hold a candlelight vigil for Ventura.
