STA’s Peer Helpers held the annual Happy Holiday Mart in the Commons Dec. 5 and 6. They sold baked goods and drinks for 50 cents each as a way to fundraise. They also brought back the Finals Fun Wheel, which students could spin in hopes to win prizes provided by the Peer Helpers. Each spin on the fun wheel entered a student into a larger raffle drawing, which included chances to win free monogrammed headbands and gift cards along with other prizes. As they explained in an email sent to students and staff, they were also handing out free travel bottles of lotion, stress stars, and Good Luck pens to students “as a pick me up before finals.” The event was held as a way to give students a fun break amidst the stress of preparing for finals.
