Seniors Meg Rohr and Regan Reda were interviewed Dec. 2 on The Slacker Morning Show to promote the winter coat drive being held Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Windmoor Center.

“Our goal is to raise 5,150 coats,” Spirit Club President Meg Rohr said during the radio interview, “To do that, every girl at STA would have to bring at least nine coats.”

The coat drive, hosted by Spirit Club and Social Justice Club, benefits Catholic charities and will set the first Guinness World Record for most coats collected in an eight hour period.

“Just look through and try your coats on, if they don’t fit you anymore, if you don’t think you’ll ever wear it them, then it’s just so easy to give them to someone who doesn’t have a coat at all,” Social Justice co-president Regan Reda said in the radio interview.

During this time of giving, the coat drive has been advertised in many areas of the community such as other schools, church events and through word of mouth, hoping to maximize the number of coat donations to benefit those in need during these winter months.
