Over this past week STA has been celebrating National French Week by trying out different French foods at Bistro Kids and watching the French movie, Midnight in Paris during activity.

According to French teacher Alice Amick, National French Week is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French which brings out a way for bringing French out of the classroom and into the community.

“My goal is for students to make a personal connection with French culture that will raise their awareness of France and its many contributions to the world,” Amick said.

Each day this week Bistro has provided STA with lunch inspired by French dish. For Amick, Bistro’s participation has been the best part of this year’s National French Week.

“This is the first year that I’ve enlisted Chef Scott’s help,” Amick said. “He took the idea and ran with it, providing a wonderful week of classic French food.”
