The National Honors Society induction ceremony took place Feb. 9, welcoming new members from the junior and senior classes. The event included a prayer, speeches from the Principal of Academic Affairs Barb McCormick and college counselor Liz Majors and the reception of golden tassels by each member.

Juniors Molly Muehlebach, Gabby Wimes, Rose Genaris, Emma Kate Callahan and Charlie Cornell were selected as officers. Each presented short anecdotes about the main aspects of National Honors Society: leadership, scholarship, service and character.

“We are committed to the idea of dedicating our time and the devotion of our abilities towards the creation of a better tomorrow,” Genaris said.

The ceremony concluded with group photos and a light lunch for students and parents.
