Senior Dorian Bailey was named the Gatorade Missouri Soccer Player of the Year this morning for the second straight year by The Gatorade Company in collaboration with USA Today High School Sports making her a finalist for the Gatorade Player of the Year, an honor she won last year.

Bailey, who has signed a letter of intent to play soccer at the University of North Carolina, has helped lead the Stars to a 15-2-1 record this season and has missed the last five games to participate in the United States Soccer Under-19 Women’s National team camp. She has 12 goals and four assists in 18 games played so far this season. Bailey is expected to re-join the Stars for a second-straight run at a Missouri state Class 4 championship game. The Stars lost in the championship game to St. Joseph’s Academy 3-2 in double overtime last June.

The Gatorade Player of the Year is set to be announced later this month.
