As we begin to leave STA, we remember the things we always took for granted. What will you appreciate about STA before you leave?

As we approach the end of the year, I realize there are some things I have yet to do to say farewell to the amazing community of STA. Some of the quirkier things I want to do before the end of the year are outlined here…

Bring coffee to your favorite teacher(s)

While we say thank you to teachers all the time, how many times have you gone out of your way to say thank you to your teachers for supporting you throughout the year? A great way to say thank you is to wake up 10-15 minutes earlier in the morning to go pick them up their favorite coffee or tea fix and surprise them with it.

Take a picture in the quad with your best friends

How many high schoolers do you know that have an absolutely beautiful quad during the spring? Take a couple minutes during lunch/activity to take a picture out in the quad with your friends. You won’t regret the memories you gain from taking a few minutes to appreciate our beautiful quad.

Go trick-or-treating in the administrative offices

While you are probably well aware of the candy available in the development office, did you know that Nan Bone keeps a fully stashed basket of candy in her office for students who are brave enough to venture in and say hi? This is the same with other offices in the administrative building. Take the time to go say hi and grab some candy.

Play intramurals during activity in the gym

How often do you get to abandon the monotony of your school day to venture back to freshman year PE and play fun games like dodgeball? Playing intramurals is a fun way to de-stress in the middle of your school day and get in a little bit of exercise for 25 minutes, too.

Switch it up during lunch/activity

Often we get into the habit of going to the same place every day during activity. Switch it up by going to the room of a teacher you haven’t had for a while.
