At approximately 10 a.m., a lawnmower caught fire on the southeast corner of the St. Teresa’s campus. The lawnmower overheated and ignited the surrounding dry leaves and grass, setting the lawnmower ablaze.

Alumnae Director Kathleen Barry was the first to see the fire and alerted Administrative Assistant Kelly Drummond, who then called the fire department. By 10:20 a.m., the fire had been extinguished by the fire department, according to Drummond.

No one was hurt or endangered by the fire.
