La Rue: an introduction

Hey dudes, it’s Violet. This is my very first blog on DNO, and I’m super excited to share it with you guys! I’m hoping a new post will be up every other Tuesday. As for the title, “la rue” means “street” in French.

By now you’ve probably guessed this is a street style blog, which means I snap photos of people with interesting style wherever I am, and sometimes even get a few words with them. Whether it’s at a hip coffee shop, my local bank or just when I’m walking down the street, I always keep my eye out for someone who has a stylish spark.

After overcoming the fear of approaching total strangers (I do photograph people I know, too) I found that everyone is inspired by someone or something in the way they dress. The whole point of this blog is to show you how style is a huge part of our lives, and everyone, whether they know it or not, has their own personal sense of style. Hopefully I can inspire my readers to recognize and embrace their own style.
